ABOUT HOMEWERKS HOME CARE
HomeWerks Home Care was created to help satisfy an identified clear need for the Wilmington, NC area, which is to simply provide the highest quality home care.
HomeWerks Home Care is not a member of a franchised- home care company, whereby franchise operators generally provide the same client-agency relationship approach and quality of care services regardless of type of patient, level of need or demographic and cultural considerations.
HomeWerks Home Care was started by Paula Werk after personally being the primary caregiver and health care power of attorney to an extended family member. Paula quickly learned how critically important it is when selecting the best home care provider for loved ones, especially for those – who do not have close family members or a sufficient social network to provide consistent oversight and care monitoring.
From this experience, Paula directly saw the need for – a different type of agency to provide home care services in the Raleigh area, which in turn motivated Paula to start her own home care company which is committed to providing the absolute highest quality home care services in a manner which is customized and tailored for each client.
Paula is a native North Carolinian, and with her husband, Tom, currently split their time between Raleigh, NC and Wilmington, NC. Before starting HomeWerks Home Care she founded and managed a down-sizing and residential relocating company, Residential Resources of the Triangle, LLC.
Tom, who was raised and grew up in Wilmington, joined HomeWerks Home Care as Co-Owner and Co-Operator in 2016 in order to help manage and guide the company's continual growth. Prior to joining HomeWerks Home Care, Tom had a long and very successful career in the pharmaceutical, medical diagnostic and clinical-research organization (CRO) sectors, specializing in new product marketing, business development and business analytics.
As of March 2022, Tom, Paula, and the HomeWerks Home Care team are focused on providing excellent home care services to clients in Wilmington, NC and the surrounding New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties. Those looking for home care in the Raleigh area can find care through The Key.
